Kathy Cueva has been president and leader of Prayers & Squares International’s board of directors for 8 years, and she has decided to step down after the March 2010 conference. She has brought incredible leadership to our organization, not to mention enthusiasm, wisdom, energy and spiritual inspiration. Quite simply, we could not have continued without her! We all would like a way to show our appreciation, so here is your chance to participate. You can do this as a chapter, or as an individual.

Please send Kathy a 6 ½" square. This can be one piece of fabric, or a quilt block that measures 6 ½" x 6 ½". Be creative! Write on your piece, include a blessing or a prayer, use photo transfers or embellishments, and decorate to your heart’s content – whatever you would like to do to express your thanks to Kathy. You can think of this as a fabric greeting card.

We don’t have a color scheme, but Kathy’s personality is bright and bubbly, so think of clear, bright colors when you work on your square. Think of the love of God shining through, as it does on each and every prayer quilt we make. The finished squares should not be layered, quilted or tied.
